This is an in-person class. The first meeting takes place at the University Connected Learning and Continuing Education building (540 Arapeen Drive, SLC). The second session meets at the entrance to the Herd Management Area (HMA), about a 1.5-hour drive from Salt Lake City. Specific directions will be given to registered participants in the first meeting. The final session is held online. Special fee is for permit acquisition. The main road on the HMA is packed dirt/loose gravel and generally very dusty. Please be sure you have a spare tire for your vehicle. This trip may require some light hiking. Binoculars, a spotting scope, or cameras with zoom lenses are encouraged (the instructor will provide a scope and binoculars for participants to share).
