EDU 5960 - 001 Education Profession & Culture
This course will meet 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. every day from Friday, June 5th to Sunday, June 14th. This one-credit, intensive international experience immerses students in the vibrant social, cultural, and educational contexts (grade 6 through higher education) of South Korea through a week of on-site engagement. Course activities include site visits to historical and cultural landmarks, seminars on Korean society, education --visits to international schools, universities and our UAC campus with productive interactions with students, faculty and higher education professionals. Students will participate in guided reflection to compare educational and cultural practices, critically analyze global perspectives, and develop intercultural competencies. This course aims to cultivate intercultural curiosity, equips students to navigate complex global issues, and empowers them to contribute thoughtfully and responsibly within international educational and civic contexts.
