Description
This course is for current and future educators in higher education. Students will explore the concepts of inclusion, equity, diversity, and anti-racism contextualized in higher education and will examine how to become an inclusive instructor for all students. Students will also investigate the history of inequity in the academic setting along with the resulting consequences for individuals and communities. Requirements include: course readings, regular reflections, participation in discussions, presentations, and development of an educator action plan.
