Description
This foundational course offers a comprehensive overview of occupational therapy (OT) practice through the lens of time, exploring the evolution of OT as a health profession. Students will learn about the core concept of occupation, occupational science, and occupation-based theories that underpin OT practice. Key topics include occupational engagement, participation, and health, as well as professional values, ethics, standards of practice, and continuing competence. The course culminates in the creation of a professional development plan that students will refine throughout their program.
