Description
This course is designed to encourage individual artistic practice through project-driven approaches to photography. Students will generate conceptually challenging and visually refined work using a wide-range of strategies and art-making practices with an emphasis on photographic and photographically-derived images. Coursework incorporates student presentations, critical discussion and analysis, and the creation of a single body of work. This class seeks to expand photographic meaning through a variety of methods including but not limited to: zines, photobooks, artists’ books, installation, and the intersection of analog with digital processes. Course is designed for PHOTO and BART Majors and Minors.
