Description
In the first section of the course, basic principles of research will be covered including how to identify research topics, evaluate the literature, construct and test a working hypothesis, analyze and interpret data, and report results. Basic research terminology and major formats of research designs will be discussed. In the second section, students will learn about basic principles of education including writing and evaluating learning objectives and examination items as well as teaching techniques especially those relevant to the medical laboratory, Topics related to accreditation, certification, and licensing in medical laboratory science will also be discussed.
