NURS 7061 - Neonatal Practicum I

Concepts from Introduction to Practicum are applied in the clinical setting by providing care to stable infants in a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The clinical experience provides the student with exposure to more common high risk maternal/fetal and neonatal conditions. Simulation is used to introduce the students to common neonatal procedures and to document competency in management of various clinical situations. Students continue to develop knowledge and skills within the NNP domains of professional role and professional practice.
