LING 6812 - Content-Based Language Teaching and Learning

This course introduces students to instructional models that integrate language and content. It addresses principles governing language and content integration as well as a review of the educational and second language research bases that support this approach. Also included are principles governing the assessment of content and language, the identification of content concepts, the development of content and language objectives, and the selection of teaching strategies for language teachers in K-12 and post-secondary contexts.
