CSD 6400 - Augmentative and Alternative Communication

This course will provide a general introduction and overview of augmentative and alternative communication. This course will address the broad range of individuals who require AAC as well as the broad range of systems and strategies, including aided and unaided approaches and symbol sets of pictures and traditional orthography. Some of the topics will include assessment, selection of AAC systems, and intervention.
