Description
Engineering methods to harvest energy from the environment including vibrations, motion, thermal and light energy. Covers fundamental physics of common electromechanical transduction mechanisms (piezoelectric, electrostatic, and electromagnetic) and thermoelectrics, equivalent circuit modeling techniques to model coupled electromechanical systems, and basic power conditioning electronics. Advanced energy harvesting topics are also introduced.
