In creating the patient value equation, it is essential for health services providers, policymakers, and administrators to understand regulatory and legal aspects, as well as potential technical and cultural barriers that might emerge when providing telehealth services. To face current and future challenges, it is essential for health professionals to learn from successful –and not so much- implementation of telehealth programs and services in the real world.
