Prerequisites: Full Major status in BFA Studio Art OR "C-" or better in (ART 2201 AND ART 2202 AND ART 2203 AND ART 2204 AND ART 2205 AND ART 2206 AND ART 2207 AND ART 2208)
Description
This capstone studio course provides students with the necessary information to become professional art educators. Students will explore the properties and uses of multiple artistic materials as a tool for supporting the artistic development of youth. Students will have numerous opportunities to engage in hands-on experimentation with two-and three-dimensional media as they consider how best to apply these processes to visual arts education. Through studio work, workshops, presentations and discussions, students will learn about issues pertinent to beginning arts educators.
