HLTH 7890 - The American Professoriate

This course is designed for doctoral (PhD) students (2nd year and beyond) seeking academic careers in the health and human sciences, and will be based on the professor's experience as a faculty member, department chair, dean, and provost. The issues, challenges, and opportunities in higher education facing new faculty members will be addressed. The course will help prepare students for the academic job market, including job applications, campus interviews, and negotiating job offers.
