CHEM 7020 - Introduction to Spectroscopy I

This course provides an introduction into the application of time-dependent quantum mechanics and perturbation theory in modern spectroscopy. Students will learn to derive selection rules and properties of electronic, vibrational and rotational transitions in atomic and molecular systems. This course covers topics useful for chemists, physicists, and engineers with a solid background in quantum mechanics.
