Description
This course introduces students to the sources and strategies for conducting international, foreign, and comparative legal research. Students will learn how to access the primary and secondary sources used in public and private international law research. Topics covered include the domestic law of foreign nations, treaty law, the law of international organizations, customary law, European Union Law, selected topics in private international law, and foreign and international law in U.S. Courts. Other topics may be incorporated based on the interests of the class. The course emphasizes research strategies and source evaluation to answer practical research issues.
