LLLAN 364 - Mandarin Chinese I

Discover the beauty and charm of the Chinese language and culture. More than knowing the right words, communication involves understanding what to say, how to say it, and with whom it is appropriate to use certain words or gestures. In this course, we will learn not only vocabulary but also how to speak and behave in a culturally appropriate way in a Chinese context. The primary emphasis is on speaking and listening skills, while the secondary emphasis is on reading and writing skills.
