MDCRC 6175 - Medical Device Innovation

In-person intensive course including preparation for technology project participation at the Bench to Bedside program and final competition. Practical training in medical device development, including 3D software design, rapid prototyping, additive manufacturing (3D printing), and Design Box principles for software app design will be introduced in sessions with the Center for Medical Innovation (CMI), the Therapeutic Games and Apps lab (The GApp), and affiliated engineering labs. Other key elements of medical device and medical technology development will include intellectual property (IP), regulatory affairs [U.S. FDA 510(k), etc.], reimbursement, CPT coding, ICD-10 coding, and related topics.
