OSHER 578 - Planning a Trip to Mars

For years, scientists have been working on going to Mars. As this trip becomes more possible, we will discuss the planning for the journey to the Red Planet. There are many components to making this happen, and each one must function as designed. We will discuss the myriad of challenges, including protection from radiation and growing food. We will also look at many NASA photos of the various planets in our solar system as well as in the Cosmos outside of our solar system. Two or three more years to blast-off!
