HIST 6671 - American Indian History to 1850: Precontact to Indian Removal

This is a reading and discussion intensive examination of three critical themes in American Indian history from the period before European contact to the era of Indian Removal. In each instance we will consider the impact of conquest and European colonialism on North America's Native peoples as well as the strategies those peoples employed to survive the period of conquest.
