ART 4820 - Art as Action

This course will provide students with an opportunity to explore the role of the arts as a form of personal, interpersonal, social, political and environmental action. Students will use written texts, discussion, and examples of different forms of artistic practice to understand historical and contemporary models of art for action. in addition, students will work individually or collectively to create art that will facilitate a type of action.
