Description
Many people talk about E=mc2 but very few truly understand the energy-mass equivalency equation and how it ended World War II. This class dedicates an entire 90-minute lecture to understanding not only Einstein's famous equation, but also how events transpired at Oak Ridge, Tennessee; Hanford, Washington; and Los Alamos, New Mexico. We will talk about scientists; we will talk about spies; we will talk about dragons (yes, there really is a dragon in the narrative!). Story after story... Who says nuclear physics can't be entertaining?
