OSHER 403 - Biblical Conundrum, The Exodus Story: Did It Happen?

Combining the latest archaeological finds from Israel and surrounding areas with Biblical history and extra-Biblical texts, this class will address the Exodus story with the question: Did it happen? We will review relevant evidence from archaeology, Egyptology, and, of course, the Biblical narrative. We will correlate the extra-Biblical evidence and the Biblical narrative with Egyptian historical references to slave revolts and exoduses, and with the archeological evidence of Israelites in Egypt.
