HIST 4525 - Asian Film in Historical Context

This course uses a variety of films from India, China, Korea, Japan, and Southeast Asia to discuss the history and cultures of these countries. The films range from classic to avant-garde with both iconic and experimental directors. Prior coursework in Asian history is not required.
