LLCFT 340 - Jewelry Maker Series: Handmade Clasps

In this online class you will learn how to make a decorative toggle clasp and a wire "S" clasp to be used with beaded necklaces and/or wire wrapped chains. Different techniques for attaching the clasps will be discussed. A materials kit will be provided with all the components needed to make 2 to 4 sterling silver clasps. A list of required and suggested tools will be provided, with advice on where to purchase, prior to class. Students can expect to spend between $50 - $100 on tools, depending on what they already have. Course can be taken individually or in conjunction with other Jewelry Maker Series courses to create one complete pendant necklace. All courses in this series use the same set of tools.
