Description
This course covers major topics associated with adjustment/adaptation to disability from a psychosocial perspective. It is tailored towards those interested in rehabilitation sciences. We will emphasize environmental, social, and societal factors affecting adults with adult onset disability (e.g., stroke, ABI, amputation, SCI). We will cover key mental health concepts and research on treatment as well, with an emphasis on what allied rehabilitation professionals can do to support wellbeing and community participation.
