Description
This course analyzes historical transformations in how forms of media work industrially, stylistically, economically, socially, and culturally. Students will learn to place various texts within media arts history. Through lectures, discussions, readings, and writing about media this course offers an overview of the ways in which film, television, animation, video games, interactive media, and other media have been developed, established, used, and discussed both nationally and internationally.
