LLART 185 - Intro to Scientific Illustration-- Watercolor and Ink

Learn to see like a scientist as you illustrate specimens from nature with watercolor and ink. Gain confidence in observing form while documenting and interpreting what you see. Key techniques such as composition, working with color, and recording of fine detail can be applied in nature journaling, watercolor painting, drawing, and creating stand-alone pieces of biological art. This class is for students with previous drawing or illustration/composition experience. Some previous experience with watercolor required.
