BME 6110 - Technology in Anesthesia and Critical Care

The goals of the class are to teach biomedical engineering students the fundamentals of applied anesthesia as well as the state of current anesthesia technology as used in the operating room today. This class will create an interface between biomedical engineering students and clinical anesthesiologists so that students will become familiar with the operating room environment in which current and future technology has to function. In this context, the class also aims to promote an understanding of the need for existing as well as future technology in anesthesia.
