FINAN 4400 - Bloomberg Financials

This course is designed to give students a solid footing in the use of the Bloomberg Financial System. The course will be an applied financial analysis course, integrating the Bloomberg Financial System in four key market areas—economic conditions, foreign currencies, bond analysis, and equity valuation. For each section, students will engage in projects and/or case studies designed to use and expand their knowledge of finance that they have already learned in prior classes, with current market conditions and the wide array of analytics available on the Bloomberg system. Further, since Bloomberg fully integrates with Excel, students will be highly involved in building financial models on Excel templates that can automatically retrieve and update input data from the Bloomberg.
