OSHER 396 - Introduction to Swing Guitar

Introduction to Swing Guitar is for anyone who has wanted to learn to play swing chords or tunes but has not found the right opportunity. We will play simplified versions of familiar songs (Blue Moon, Over the Rainbow, Route 66, and others). We will keep it simple, relaxed, and fun as we build a vocabulary of new chords and a repertoire of new songs. Along the way, we will discuss the basic music theory behind the music we are playing. No experience in playing advanced chords required, but it is helpful if you are comfortable with basic chord changes.
