Description
Pat Bagley is the longest continuously employed full-time cartoonist in America, having started at the Salt Lake Tribune in 1979. Often cited as one of the most influential political commentators in Utah, his cartoons are also syndicated internationally and have appeared in publications such as Time Magazine, The Irish Times, The Guardian, The Wall Street Journal, and the Washington Post. Bagley has won several prestigious cartooning awards, including the 2017 Grambs Aronson Cartooning With a Conscience Award, and was co-recipient of the Prix de I'humour Vache at the St-Just cartoon festival in France. He was also a finalist for the 2014 Pulitzer Prize. Here's your chance to hear Mr. Bagley discuss his career and evolution as a political cartoonist. Discuss the importance of political cartoons, especially during these current times. Light hors d'oeuvres and water/iced tea will be served. Each attendee will receive a signed book. Bring your own wine or other beverage of choice.
