PHS 7020 - Analysis of Secondary Data

This course examines healthcare data with cutting edge analytical tools and methods. Primary focus is on predictive analytics for disease modeling, cost analysis, resource management, standards of care analysis, social network analysis, etc. Students will learn several concepts from data science including: SQL, the python suite of data analysis and visualization tools (scipy, sklearn, pandas, etc.), methods of machine learning, and techniques in natural language processing.
