Description
The relationship of energy to our economy and society, including its environmental impacts. The nature of energy-related impacts, their sources, and existing and evolving strategies for their abatement and control. Environmental consideration in the production, transportation, and processing aspects of coal and petroleum. Topics include energy sources, consumption, economic and environmental impacts, including: air pollution, surface water pollution and subsurface pollution analysis. Public-domain software will be used to study realistic environmental problems. CH EN 5158 meets with 6158 and differs from 6158 by having fewer, more limited projects.
