Description
NURS 7063 is a preceptor-supervised clinical course designed to continue the development of the Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) role by providing care to all neonatal patients in a Level III or Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The emphasis of the course is on continued competency development in diagnosing and treating complex neonatal conditions. The student identifies and utilizes current evidence and best practice in the care of the patient with complex disorders. The course includes a focus on collaboration and working with interdisciplinary teams. Students continue to develop knowledge and skills within the NNP domains of professional role and professional practice.
