YESCI 620 - BioEYES: Genetics in Action (Age 9-11)

Let's all be scientists! Come set up your very own science experiment using zebrafish. You will learn about where zebrafish come from, how scientists are using tiny fish to cure cancer, and even get to see the heartbeat of a developing larva. Students will investigate where genes come from and what DNA looks like. Activities will also include field trips to the University of Utah's zebrafish core facility and science labs, meeting scientists working in the lab, conducting a science treasure hunt, and starting your own science lab notebook.
