NURS 7663 - Psychiatric/Mental Health Practicum III

The third in a series of six clinical courses, this course continues to build the role for Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner students as an independent psychotherapy practitioner. Students apply didactic knowledge and clinical skills in the provision of mental health care for increasingly complex and serious mental health diagnoses. The student develops, implements and evaluates the psychotherapy plan of care under supervision of faculty/preceptors. Incorporation health promotion concepts results is expected.
