FINAN 6830 - Sorenson Impact: The Due Diligence Process

This course provides the necessary foundation to work in VC, PE, or Family Offices with a focus on the emerging field of Impact Investing. Using deal flow from the Sorenson Impact Foundation and University Venture Fund II, students will learn to conduct due diligence on direct investment opportunities on both domestic and international private markets. The course will also focus on how to deal source, prepare investment documents and present key findings to senior investment professionals. Hard skills learned will be: Business Model Analysis, Market Sizing, Competitive Landscape, Impact Analysis, Risk Assessment, Financial Analysis, Convertible Notes, Cap Tables, Term Sheets, and Exit & Returns Analysis.
