MUSC 6590 - Tonal Writing Seminar

Explores the major forms of tonal writing from a compositional perspective. The student is required to master the voice leading and structural principles of such forms as minuet, trio, sonata and fugue, all composed within appropriate stylistic constraints. Designed for graduate students in composition; open to all graduate students who have completed Music Theory IV and V.
