Prerequisites: "C-" or better in (ME EN 1010 OR CS 1000 OR CH EN 1703) AND Intermediate Major status in (Mechanical Engineering OR Engineering).
Corequisites: "C-" or better in (MATH 2250 OR (MATH 2270 AND MATH 2280)).
Description
Basic techniques for the modeling and numerical solution of problems in engineering with an emphasis on integrated systems design. Topics covered include: root finding, interpolation, approximation of functions, integration, differential equations, direct and iterative methods in linear algebra, and curve fitting.
