Description
SCI 2020 is a project-based course. In this course, students will learn how science and society are integrated through scientific inquiries, case studies involving ethical dilemmas, group discussions and a community-engaged project. Students will also interact with inspirational faculty, learn about research opportunities, and participate in field trips. Students will communicate their learning through writing, discussion, and oral and poster presentations. This course is intended to provide context for science majors as they progress through future coursework and scientific careers, and serve as a foundation for non-science majors to become part of a scientifically literate society.
