FA 2000 - Computers and the Arts

This course is an introduction to essential techniques and concepts for creating visual digital content. Through hands-on tutorials, students learn to edit raster images, create vector graphics, edit digital video, and design for web. Class lectures examine history and trends in new and digital media, as well as principles of design. Students develop the skills necessary for creative users in contemporary visual culture and market place.
