OSHER 400 - Drawing and Painting the Landscape

What are the elements that make up a good landscape painting? How do we produce one? With these questions in mind, the beginner or the more experienced Osher member will explore the art of landscape painting through discussion, hands-on indoor and outdoor work, and the study of light and shadow. We will discuss a variety of methods and materials as we work from life and reference course materials. Beginning with drawing, and later moving into painting, we will work outside in the Salt Lake City area, looking for subjects that spark our interest.
