OSHER 55 - Black Violin

Black Violin is a duo of high-energy, classically trained musicians renowned for their ability to meld highbrow and pop culture into a single genre-busting act. Black Violin mines the synergy of classical, jazz, blues, R&B, and hip-hop. Virtuoso violinists Kev Marcus and Wil B, along with TK, their masterful accompanying DJ, are redefining the music world, one string at a time. This revolutionary group, declared one of the "hottest bands of South by Southwest," encourages audiences to look at things from a different perspective, to show what can happen when you color way outside the lines. In partnership with Utah Presents, Osher Lifelong Learning Institute is pleased to offer two lectures providing both sociological and musical context for the performance, as well as a tickets to the show.
