Students will finish this course with the ability to: improve their respective snowboard abilities (Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced), use current snowboard techniques, practice current risk management methods, and understand basic standards of winter resort management. These skills will be acquired through multiple days on the slopes, demonstrations, and discussion. Additionally, issues related to management of U.S. Forest Service administered lands, such as those used in this snowboard class, as they relate to recreation and other uses will be discussed. Class meets on campus Jan 19th only. Brighton field sessions will be on 8 consecutive Fridays as follows (Feb 2, 09, 16, 23, March 2, 09, 16, 23). Fee includes 8 full day passes. No camping.
