Description
Capstone Projects integrate coursework, knowledge, skills and experiential learning for the purpose of enabling students to demonstrate their synthesis of knowledge in real-world applications. This is accomplished through providing students with opportunities to apply their accumulated learning to a meaningful project, assess outcomes, and position themselves for emerging opportunities in their fields.
Students undertaking a Capstone Project must first find a faculty advisor or advisors to work with them. Projects can be done independently or with collaborative teams. Collaborative teams are encouraged to work across disciplines whenever possible. For additional information contact the Director of Capstone Initiatives in the Office of Undergraduate Studies.
