YESPR 50 - Build Your Own Longboard 1: Custom Pintails (Age 12-17)

Want to get around town this summer without your parents having to drive you everywhere? Build a longboard with us! In this week-long course students will build their very own classic, pintail longboard. You will build your board from scratch using maple wood veneer and a simple wood press. Using hand tools, and a little bit of sweat, you will shape and sand your new board. Once that new deck is looking smooth and just the way you want, you will customize the decks with spray paint and stencils for some style. Next, it's all about putting on our trucks, wheels, and grip tape. Finally, after all that hard work, you will take your finished boards out for a test run for a safety check and to carve up the sidewalks. Students must have a helmet to test their boards the last day of class.
