Description
This course offers a discussion of social justice and equality based on three dimensions. The first is a theoretical treatment of collective ideas on social justice and equality. The debates on distributive justice and American pluralism, in particular, will be introduced. Second, the empirical findings on major measurements of social justice and distribution of social goods will be systematically examined. Finally, the contemporary public polices on distribution principles and practices, such as affirmative actions and symbolic representation, will be scrutinized.
