OSHER 508 - Herb Gardening Intensive

The goal of this class is to inform and inspire students to imagine and create garden(s) that include the culinary and medicinal herbs they want for use and pleasure. History, cultivation, design, harvest and preservation, potting, companion planting and more will be discussed and hands on demonstrations will enable the students to grow and use herbs with confidence. A worksheet will be provided along with fresh herb samples from Merry's garden. This class will have three meetings. The first session will be at the Jewish Community Center; the second and third will be at Millcreek Herbs (3191 South Valley Street, SLC.)
