Description
This doctoral-level course focuses on the use of mixed methods-quantitative and qualitative- to address complex research questions in social work and other social sciences. Epistemology, methodology, and methods of utilizing mixed methods and practical strategies for accomplishing this successfully will be discussed. Students will learn to develop a multi-phase and long term research plan using mixed methods and implement a part of the plan during the course. Students are required to have taken introductory courses on quantitative and qualitative research methodologies.
