UGS 2280 - BlockU: Health, Food & Social Justice

Students in this learning community will engage with the vital and timely work of understanding food culture and the food movement. Through activities like planning and implementing community gardens and working with high schools students on food initiatives, this learning community will focus on ways to make food culture and the food movement more inclusive and vibrant. This course will offer students the opportunity to explore the many ways in which diverse populations in Salt Lake City are gaining access to fresh, health, affordable, and culturally rich foods.
